Tour Vehicle: Defender 110 XS

The experience of traveling with Andrew Grant McKenzie, the Highland Historian, is all the more adventurous and exciting in the top-end Land Rover Defender 110 XS SW LWB. This long wheel-base 4x4 is capable of traveling in extreme conditions safely, including snow and ice; meaning that tours are highly unlikely to be cancelled due to weather and will run year-round. But this is only part of the vehicle's exceptional qualities...

The Highland Historian tour vehicle is also exceptionally comfortable with part-leather seats; air conditioning to give you the perfect temperature for those hot (or cool) Highland days; and despite the earlier agricultural versions of this vehicle, the engine noise is comfortable and will allow us to discuss what we see from the much higher vantage point as we drive around the Highland countryside compared with much lower people-carriers.

This vehicle is fully insured for driver guiding, equipment and luggage transfers.

The Land Rover Defender 110 XS is currently set up to carry 4 passengers (contact andrew@highlandhistorian.com if you wish to book for a larger group). A roof rack is available for sporting equipment transfers, so if you have specific carrying requirements please contact to discuss.
